The 10th annual International Gaming Awards (IGA) has just gained a green-suited sponsor. Online casino operator Mr Green has been named as an official sponsor for the 2017 edition of the IGA, which will be held on the 6th February at the InterContinental London Park Lane, London’s most prestigious address.
The Gaming Awards bring together the top names in the industry, including internationally recognized providers and gambling operators, as well as industry professionals and insiders. It is also when the best performers in their respective fields will be honoured with awards, given to mark excellence in 24 different categories. Nominees for the awards will be announced at a later date.
Mr Green Casino
Mr Green, with roots in Sweden but stationed in Malta, holds a license issued by the Malta Gaming Authority to provide online casino and other online gambling options. NetEnt, Microgaming, IGT, and Evolution Gaming are just a few of the most popular industry suppliers to power the casino with hundreds of games. Mr Green went live with a sportsbook last June, just ahead of one of the most viewed sporting events in the world – the much anticipated UEFA Euro 2016 tournament.
Mr Green is not a new face at the IGA – it has appeared as a sponsor in previous year – however it will be an official sponsor for the tenth annual awards’ ceremony. A big focus for this year’s awards will be on charity.
The International Gaming Awards have donated thousands to various charitable causes over the course of the past ten years. The CARE International humanitarian agency alone was the beneficiary of over £100,000 and Children with Cancer and the Responsible Gambling Trust have also benefited from charitable donations through the awards ceremony and its sponsors over the past decade.
During each IGA ceremony, funds are raised through the auctioning off of unique, valuable items provided by sponsors for this very purpose. Come February, Mr Green will be providing the auction items though what those are have not been announced yet.
A legacy of charitable donation
Colin Thompson, the IGA’s main organizer, thanked the Awards’ sponsors, without whom the event’s considerable charitable donations would not have been possible.
“We are very happy that such a well-known and reputable, multi award winning operator as Mr Green is helping us to raise much needed funds for our charities.
We will be announcing details of the amazing auction items very soon. In the past 10 years, we offered some remarkable items to our participants from Tiffany’s to Cartier, 1 Carat Diamond and many other sparkling items.”
