The event will be held on the 5th of June at the Savoy Hotel in London and has been organised by Clever Duck Media, which was co-founded by Lana Thompson. With almost 50 different companies taking part and a wide range of international finalists set to arrive in the capital in the coming weeks and months, it’s fair to say that people are starting to get excited.
The importance of these awards can be best captured by the fact that the sponsors include the likes of Betsson, Digitain, Playtech, Arrise, Pronet Gaming, Relax Gaming, Greentube, IGT, Gamomat, Soft2Bet, and Light & Wonder, plus so many more. With such a star-studded list of companies wanting to be associated with the Women in Gaming (WiG) Diversity Awards, the rise in reputation is clear to see.
Clever Duck Media’s director and co-founder, Lana Thompson, had this to say on the Women in Gaming (WiG) Diversity Awards website:
“Diversity is not just a priority, but should be part of the culture in our industry. We are very proud promoting gender gap in technology and female leader roles for 9 years and believe we are ready to recognize some of the outstanding diversity efforts we witnessed by a number of organizations in our industry.”
With tickets costing between £600 and £800 plus VAT, depending on how many seats are booked during a single transaction, visitors have certainly got to be in it to win it. With last year’s event being fully sold out around a month beforehand, it’s fair to say that this year’s show will sell out even sooner, which is why it’s important to buy tickets well in advance.
