Scatter Wild Symbol
Wilds and Scatters appear as the same symbol in Book of Inferno, a demonic tome. If they land as part of a winning combination, they will substitute for all regular paytable symbols to complete the win. Additionally, 3 or more Books landing during a single spin will trigger the free spins on Book of Inferno.
Marked Symbols
Randomly during the base game, the Marked symbol feature can trigger to give you a taste of what the free spins bonus has to offer. This marks an individual symbol, which will then expand and pay in any position if the required number of symbols land. Furthermore, if a Book symbol lands together with a Marked symbol it will upgrade the Marked symbol by one step, potentially creating more Marked symbols and expansions.

Upon activating the bonus, a random symbol will be selected as Marked. Whenever enough Marked symbols land, they will expand to cover the entire reel and then award the respective payout, irrespective of their reel positions.
You can also retrigger the feature by landing 3 or more Books. This will award the same number of free spins as the initial trigger.
