Fire in the Hole Bonus Features

As you venture deep into the Dwarven mines you’ll need to employ some very volatile dynamite to blast open a maximum of 6 rows for bigger rewards in this slot game. The collapsing mine feature can trigger multiple wins from a single spin, whilst the xBomb multiplier wilds could give you some explosive rewards.

Triggering the epic Lucky Wagon Bonus feature will see you catching coins for some big multipliers and instant cash rewards. Unlock the chests and reap mega rewards from the bonus round to dig out even more riches. Just don’t get trapped down there in the dark!

Collapsing Mine Feature

This neat feature quite literally adds an extra level to the Fire in the Hole slot. Each spin in the base game begins with the top 3 rows active and the bottom 3 covered over with some rickety-looking wooden supports. An additional row becomes active when either a winning combination occurs, an xBomb Wild explodes, or the Wild Mining feature triggers.

Think of it as a cascading wins feature that can create a maximum of 6 active rows and up to 46,656 win ways during the base game. When no more wins occur or feature’s trigger, the reels will reset back to 3 rows for the next spin.

xBomb Multiplier Wilds

The xBomb Wild symbol is represented by a bright red dynamite plunger and substitutes for all symbols apart from scatters. They can detonate when hitting the reels, removing any adjacent regular pay symbols and increasing the win multiplier by x1. If there’s no win, then they’ll explode to trigger a collapse, but only if the Wild Mining feature isn’t triggered. They’ll also explode if there is a win, but the wild didn’t form any part of it.

Wild Mining Feature

This feature triggers if 3 to 5 matching symbols drop onto the reels in the same row, but no win occurs. These symbols are removed and 1, 2 or 3 wilds added if the feature was triggered with 3, 4 or 5 symbols respectively. The rest of the reels’ active positions will explode and trigger a collapse if they don’t already contain a bonus or wild symbol.

Shining golden nuggets act as the scatters in this slot, and 3 or more will trigger the Lucky Wagon Spins feature.

Lucky Wagon Bonus feature

Triggering this bonus feature with 3, 4, or 5 scatters will start you off with 2, 3, or 4 rows, respectively. The feature is played on a separate grid to the base game, and you’ll start with 3 free spins which reset with every coin symbol landing in the game area. On every spin, wagons appear at the top of the grid, each one containing a prize or enhancer, which is activated if a coin lands on the reel below it as follows:

  • Coin Value – from x1 to x100 your bet.
  • Multiplier – value gets applied to all coins in the reel.
  • Dynamite Symbol – blows up blocked symbols and activates all the collect chests at the bottom row.
  • Bag Symbols – collects all coins in the reel and deposits them on the triggering coin.
  • Chest Symbol – collects all reel values and clears it except for the dwarf symbol.
  • Dwarf Symbol – collects all reel values into the triggering coin for every following spin.

With all of this going on during the feature, it can be a bit overwhelming at first. Remember that activating the collect chests on the bottom row is the best way to speedily multiply up your wins here.

Fire in the Hole Jackpot

While there’s no jackpot here, triggering the chest and dwarf symbols in the Lucky Wagon feature will set you well on your way towards the slots mighty 60,000x your bet potential.

RTP and Volatility

Fire in the Hole is just as explosive as its dynamite, being rated as a highly volatile slot game. So, it’s good to know that the game’s RTP is sitting steady at the industry average of 96.06%.
