Magical Reels Bonus Features
Free spins is the only bonus round found in Magical Reels, but enchanted scatters and symbol-specific star metres with multipliers make it an interesting feature.
Scatters
The spellbook scatter pulls all the weight for the game’s bonus features. Whenever it lands anywhere in view, it can award 1-3 stars needed to fill star metres or a +1 multiplier. You can have up to 5 scatters landing at the same time in the base game and even more during free spins.
Award Boards
The Award Boards is where the magic happens. Here, every symbol from the paytable, except the scatter, has a star metre crowned with an increasing multiplier. Each time a book lands in the base game, it will add either a star or a multiplier to one of the metres. Collecting 5 stars triggers free spins together with the accumulated multipliers, all of which activate during the bonus round.
Free Spins
The bonus round awards 5free spins and if you fill another metre, you’ll earn another 2 free spins. Once completed, the metres with their respective multipliers stop functioning and the metre-specific symbol, low or high paying, is removed from the reels. Each unfilled metre’s multiplier can only be used once during free spins. It will crack after one use so you can see which multipliers are still in operation. When the feature ends, the used multipliers will reset to the default 1x, but the unused multipliers will keep their values in the base game, which is pretty handy.
