Hot Spot Reels
This game is all about the unique Hot Spot Reels. These have been done before in the developer’s previous releases, but have never stepped outside of the main playing field before.
In Riches of Midgard: Land and Expand, you’ll see them dangling to the left and to the right of the main 3×3 board. They’ll spin together with the main grid but won’t contribute toward the winning combinations. Instead, their aim here is to activate a respin which are quite frequent, and you can do it by matching two symbols on both hot spots and two more on the central grid. At this stage, the Land and Expand feature kicks in and all triggering symbols will expand to fill their respective reels and stick for a respin.
Wilds
Wilds only appear during the free spins round so don’t go looking for them in the base game. These wild logos appear on the left hot spot reel only and match all other paying symbols that appear to the right hot reel throughout the bonus round.
