Gaming Realms To Develop Tetris Slingo

A Tetris version of Slingo is on the horizon following an announcement that developer Gaming Realms has signed a licensing agreement with The Tetris Company. The deal will see one of the most beloved puzzle games reimagined for a modern audience, and the release is expected to be available later this year.

The new game will likely see Tetris retain many of its distinctive elements but combine them with Slingo gameplay, meaning every spin marks a number off a 5×5 grid; the aim is to eliminate five numbers in a line, then a Slingo is awarded, and progress can continue up the pay ladder.

Tetris will be the latest Slingo addition to what is an increasingly popular game mode – combining slots and bingo – for developers. Gaming Realms has published multiple well-received titles in recent years, including Slingo Deal or No Deal and Slingo Shark Week.

Craig Falciglia, Director of Business Development at Gaming Realms, said: “Bringing these two popular games together is a truly exciting proposition. Tetris has enjoyed huge global appeal since it first launched in the 1980s and this collaboration will create a fantastic new Slingo format, which we will be taking to both current and new player audiences.”

Maya Rogers, President and CEO of Tetris, said: “We’re always excited to discover new and unique opportunities to share the Tetris brand with new audiences. Slingo, combined with the infamous Tetriminos and other well-known elements from the Tetris game, introduces a fresh experience to the Slingo audience and Tetris fans alike. We’re thrilled to be working with Gaming Realms to bring Tetris Slingo to life and can’t wait to see players’ reactions.”

As is the popularity of Slingo, most major casinos have an array of games available from multiple developers. One of these is Paddy Power, and we suggest you read our full review before clicking below; you can then register for an account and claim a brilliant welcome bonus.
