Gold Mine Stacks 2
We enjoyed playing Gold Mine Stacks 2 more than we thought we would, mainly due to its expanded multi-level Hold & Spin style bonus round with increasing prizes, super lives and multipliers. The stacked wild respins also make the base game entertaining, so give it a go.
- Base game with stacked wild respins
- Bonus round with increasing cash prizes and multipliers
- Additional super lives for extending the bonus game
- Max win up to 50,000x your stake
- Configurable RTP setup
Set in cold and wintry surroundings, Gold Mine Stacks 2 is a mining-themed sequel to the original title from Nailed it! Games, a fairly new creative studio based in stunning Krakow, Poland. Released in partnership with Global Games, this is only the third title in the developer’s portfolio. But it’s already making waves thanks to its beautiful presentation and clever use of the recognisable Hold & Spin mechanics.
Other than that, the game features a 5×3 snow-capped reelscape with 20 fixed paylines, a simple but fun base game and a sizable potential of up to 50,000x your stake. Ready to venture underground to experience all the features to the fullest? We’ll take you through the specifics in our slot review below.

We can say that Gold Mine Stacks 2 is one of the best slots with bonus games, and we will explain why!
Stacked wild respins and a bonus round are the two major bonus features that make up Gold Mine Stacks 2. The former is handy in the base game, but the latter, triggered with 3 or more scatters, is more than just your standard Hold & Spin style bonus game.
Containing 16 levels, a randomiser, and a gamble mini-feature with super lives, it’s maybe a little complicated, but not surprising when there’s a 50,000x your stake prize on the table.
Location permitting, using the bonus buy button will allow you to skip the base game altogether. Or you can use the bonus bet function and double your chances of triggering the bonus round.
Wilds are easy to spot in Gold Mine Stacks 2. They’re pictured as mining carts filled with gold nuggets, and whenever they land as part of a winning combination, they’ll replace any symbols except scatters to help you win.
Like wilds, scatters can also show up anywhere on the reels. Landing 3 in the base game will activate the Hold & Spin bonus game.
As seen in the original edition, wilds can do more than just substitute for other symbols. If you can catch a stack of 3, it will lock in its positions for a respin. Landing stacked wilds during the respin will keep the feature going, giving you multiple opportunities to boost your base wins. You can win up to 400x your stake if you can fill the screen with wild symbols.
Gold Mine Stacks Bonus
You’ll need to land at least 3 scatter symbols in the base game to activate the multi-level bonus round with 3 lives. Landing 1 or 2 scatters beyond the triggering 3, awards an additional 1 or 2 super lives, respectively, but more on that below.
Upon triggering the feature, golden coins with different values will be placed atop the reels. At level 1, the prizes range between 1x – 20x, but they increase as you level up.
Like any other Hold & Spin type bonus game, this one also starts with 3 spins or lives and the triggering scatters locked in their positions. Each time you find a coin symbol on the grid, it will reset your life count back to 3. However, in this game if you can fill any reel with stacked coins, you’ll go up a level, increasing your potential rewards up to 600x at level 15.
Furthermore, landing 3 scatters in the base game will also give you an opportunity to add up to 2 super lives to your play balance via the built-in gamble feature.
Before the bonus round begins, you’ll be presented with a wheel displaying gold hearts and X symbols. If the wheel stops on a heart, you’ll gain an extra super life. Otherwise, you lose everything before you even start the feature.
Super lives restore depleted regular lives, but you can think of them as extra spins. When you use up your initial 3 spins during the bonus game, the golden hearts will refresh your initial 3 spins for another bonus round.
Now onto the Randomizer, a 2-reel mini slot. Just before the bonus round begins, the randomiser boosts one of the prizes by 20x your stake, unless you spin the safe icon in view. In this case, the super bonus mode triggers, during which all bonus prizes are improved with a 20x multiplier.
One way to skip the base game is to buy your way into the bonus round. The regular bonus round costs 100x your stake, but the super bonus mode will cost you an extra 250x your stake to enter.
There is no dedicated jackpot, but if you reach level 16 in the bonus game, you’ll trigger a hefty win potential reaching up to 50,000x your stake. It’s also possible to hit the win cap on earlier levels. Though, according to the developer, this is only achievable within the super bonus mode.
Thanks to the game’s mobile-friendly setup, you can dig for gold on your mobile phone or tablet. Gold Mine Stacks 2 is built using advanced HTML5 technology, making it an ideal portable title if you like playing on the go.
