The background in Wild Robo Factory makes us think that health and safety are not exactly a priority for the bots in charge. We can see gigantic machines with glowing eyes and what looks to be molten metal being moved around on the left.
The friendly characters in this scene are the Wild Robos, who are in charge of creating Wilds. We’ll talk more about those in a minute. The low value symbols are the card suits although they are made to look like mechanical parts, in keeping with the theme.
In the mid-value range are various bits of robot, including hands, torsos and heads. These are especially important later, when the Symbol Swap comes into play.
The Wilds are really what make this game so exciting. Cute square robots can appear as single Wild symbols or stacked in various shapes. Wilds can be just regular Wilds or they can be x2 multipliers.
A conveyor belt at the bottom of the reel set will move the robot Wilds one reel to the left on each spin, so landing a Wild once will mean that it sticks around for at least a few spins after that. These little dudes also come in handy during the re-spin feature.
Re-spins are triggered at random during the base game with a Robo placed on reels 3, 4 or 5. As long as there is an active Robo on the reels, the re-spins will continue until the Robo reaches the left-most reel, at which point it becomes inactive.
This feature can activate at random during any point of the game – base game, re-spins or free spins. During a Symbol Swap, the low value symbols making up a winning combination can randomly be transformed into a higher value symbol.
For example, all instances of a red heart will be changed into the robot head, thus improving the winning combo by converting component symbols to a higher value.
To trigger the free spins, the player must land 3 or more free spins symbols during the same spin. Robos are then awarded, depending on how many free spins symbols have appeared. 3 symbols puts 5 Robos on the conveyor belt while 4 or 5 symbols award 10 or 15 Robos, respectively.
These Robos behave just as they do in the base game, moving one reel to the left on every spin. Free spins will continue until the last Robo has been shifted to the first reel. You can receive additional Robos if further free spin symbols appear.
There is also the System Overload feature. This activates at random during free spins, scrambling the conveyor belt and moving it in reverse (towards the right instead of the left). All the Robos are shifted backwards, allowing them to stick around and cause more free spins.
There is no jackpot feature in the Wild Robo Factory slot.
Wild Robo Factory has an RTP of 94.4% and a medium volatility. This game will appeal to players who enjoy regular, small wins that allow them to keep playing longer.
Yggdrasil has always prioritised mobile when releasing its game and Wild Robo Factory is no exception. Right from launch, it is compatible with iPhone, iPad and Android smart devices.
