Conclusion

I wished for Rainbow Riches Leprechaun Gold to stand out among a vast availability of mediocre Irish-themed video slots. But after a few minutes of playing, it was quite clear that things weren’t headed quite in the direction I was hoping for.

The first odd thing that stuck out where the slot’s visuals. The theme itself is as predictable and overdone as they come, with barely a hint of originality. It’s the usual green-coloured screen, peppered with leprechauns, pots of gold, rainbows and all manner of Irish cliches. To make matters worse, the graphics look incredibly dated and at times I found it hard to believe that this was released in 2019.

Of course, looks aren’t everything and with a varied choice of bonus features, I was praying for the game’s mechanics to make up for the presentation. But for some reason all the different ingredients that Light and Wonder threw in never mixed quite well together. The bonuses were rather underwhelming and the main thing that kept me going was the promise of potentially hitting a satisfying win.

So, in the end, Rainbow Riches Leprechaun Gold failed to make the mark I was hoping for. Its feature set never managed to deliver on its promises and the slot’s visuals make the experience all the more miserable.
