Fruitoids slot review
Gaming provider Yggdrasil hasn’t been around as long as their biggest competitors like NetEnt or Microgaming… but they sure have released some quality slots in their time. Fruitoids from 2014 was one of the first of them, and it’s actually quite similar to another of their releases, Winterberries. Both slots share a frozen theme (Fruitoids features more out-of-this-world fruits though), simple but thrilling features, and medium variance.
In this slot review, we’ll go through all the things that make Fruitoids great, and what to look out for to reel in those huge prizes waiting within.

Fruitoids bonus features
Similar to Winterberries, Fruitoids is a bit light on the features side. You could almost argue this is a Yggdrasil version of a classic fruit machine, since there’s no real bonus round to trigger. Instead, the game revolves around the sticky wins feature, which will trigger respins and multipliers.
We do love Yggdrasil slots for their engaging bonus rounds, but in this earlier classic, the simplicity also works to keep players engaged. Read on to find out how it all works, and how to play for those £125,000 prizes.
You won’t find a typical free spins round in Fruitoids, but the sticky wins will award respins. With each winning payline, you’ll see the symbols stick in place while the rest of the reels spin. This will continue happening as long as you keep winning, and will stop as soon as you don’t land a win.
With each reel that a sticky symbol appears on, you’ll be awarded a higher multiplier. So if you’ve got one reel with a sticky symbol you’ll get 1x, but five reels will award a 5x multiplier. It’s that 5x multiplier that will help you play for the top prize, so this is one feature to watch out for.
Fruitoids doesn’t actually have a wild symbol which is rare in a video slot… but there are plenty of other ways to win.
There also isn’t a jackpot in Fruitoids, but as we mentioned, hit that respins round to play for the top prize of £125,000.
RTP and volatility
The sticky wins feature allows for medium variance, since each win that comes in has the potential to keep on growing. The return to player in Fruitoids is also quite generous at 96.7%, which is possibly how it’s remained a fan favourite.
Fruitoids on mobile
Since its earlier launch, Fruitoids has been optimised for mobile play, so you’re free to play across any device you choose.
