There is this continuing, ever-inflating Megaways movement that, one would think, will eventually reach its sell-by date. However, Megaways Jack employs some interesting mechanics to mix it up from the norm. We enjoyed it.
- A massive maximum win potential of 25,000x.
- Unlimited multiplier.
- Four reel modifiers in the base game
- Basic graphics.
- A re-hashed theme.
Operating under a Big Time Gaming Megaways licence, the slot is played across six reels, with the potential of up to seven symbols appearing on each of them – creating the grand total of up to 117,649 ways to win. It’s the provider’s second attempt at a Megaways game, the first being Pirate Kingdom Megaways – which was released back in 2019. Critics may say that the Megaways genre has been well and truly squeezed dry, even since then – but there is a certain quality to Megaways Jack that helps it stand out from the rest. Let’s start with the reel modifiers. A harp hangs to the left of the reels and will glow to ignite four random features, that can activate on any spin. These can range from any one of the following:
- Up to four extra wilds on tumbles,
- A multiplier of up to 5x on any winnings,
- Up to three extra positions on the beanstalk or cloud (don’t worry, we’ll explain later), or
- A respin, without losing position on the beanstalk or cloud.
The beanstalk to the right of the reels lights up a leaf with each winning cascade:
- If the player manages to advance eight or nine positions, they will trigger eight or nine free spins respectively.
- If they manage to reach 10-11 positions, they will get 10 or 11 free spins respectively with a 2x multiplier.
- Should they advance 12 steps up the beanstalk, they trigger 12 free spins with a 3x starting multiplier.
The maximum starting boost to your free spins round occurs when you reach the top of the beanstalk, awarding 12 free spins, a 3x multiplier and a greater chance of landing reel modifiers.
The bonus feature itself employs classic Megaways mechanics. Every win increases the multiplier by one. There is no limit to the multiplier you can reach.
Yes – the wild symbol is represented by a nest of golden eggs.
No – the mechanics mean no scatter symbol is present in this game.
Free Spins / Respins
The Megaways Jack free spins feature, as previously mentioned, awards up to 12 free rounds, with starting multipliers worth up to 3x. There is also a re-spin reel modifier, useful should you need one more winning cascade to get to the free spins round.
There are no jackpots as part the Megaways Jack game – nor is there a progressive jackpot.
At 96.00%, the Return To Player (RTP) isn’t the most impressive, but it makes up for it with extremely high volatility, as evidenced by a maximum win of 25,000x your stake. However, there are some more slots that you can explore on our list of highest RTP slots and try your luck for even bigger winnings.
