Miner Donkey Trouble Review
Miner Donkey Trouble is a 5×7 grid slot from the Play’n GO developers who thought it a good idea to add something extra to a slot with a familiar mining adventure theme. And so they’ve added a couple of charming characters and a bunch of bonus features. These could sound bonkers when explored one at a time, but in a combination, they make one fine video slot built on the clusters pay mechanics.

Miner Donkey Trouble Bonus Features
From wilds and random mega symbols to donkey destruction and free spins, you’ll have to keep a close eye on the grid to figure out what’s happening. It’s less confusing when you know how the slot works and what each feature does, so keep on reading to learn more.
Diamond Wild is the game’s regular wild symbol that substitutes for all paying symbols except scatters, golden nuggets and pickaxe symbols.
A bunched-up dynamite symbol is the game’s scatter. It doesn’t pay but can add 2 wilds to your grid and also trigger the free spins bonus round. Before it adds wilds in random positions, it will blow off any surrounding gem and rock symbols making enough space for new symbols to tumble down.
When a pickaxe symbol lands, the miner will pick it up and hold it until the end of the round. If there are no more wins, he’ll unleash 4-10 pickaxes which will turn into sparkly diamond wilds as soon as they reach the grid.
This is yet another special feature that can appear during the base game and the free spins round. Whenever these golden nuggets reach the bottom row, they get collected into the miner’s multiplier bag hanging on the right-hand side. You get one 1x multiplier for each golden nugget but they do reset between each game round.
Random Mega Symbol
As the name suggests, these mega symbols, appearing in a 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4 format, can land randomly on any spin and can be anything from super-sized wilds, rocks or gem symbols. It will first spin to decide on the shape and then split into smaller 1×1 symbols to help you round up a winning combination.
Feed the donkey, and he’ll kick the grid with his hind legs to remove symbols and add golden nuggets. With each winning cluster, you’ll be filling up the carrot meter on the left of the grid.
Collect 18 symbols for the donkey to remove all rock symbols, 40 to remove all rock and gem symbols and 50 to remove all rock and gem symbols and add up to 5 nugget symbols.
Detonate 3 dynamite scatters on a single spin and you’ll unlock 5 spins, up to a max of 20 free spins. On activation, the base game multiplier carries over to the free spins round and doesn’t reset between the spins.
Miner Donkey Trouble Jackpot
You don’t descend deep into the mines for just any old jackpot. You don your miner’s cap and join the donkey for the game’s max win potential which is a very satisfying 10,000x your stake.
RTP and Volatility
The game is highly volatile, which means that the wins could be pretty hard to hit, but when they land, they won’t be disappointing. The RTP rate is quite ordinary at 96.27% but it can vary from casino to casino.
