Featuring 5 reels, 3 rows and a locked quad-reel setup during the bonus round, Ocean Hunter is a new aquatic-themed addition to iSoftBet’s fast-growing Apex Predator collection. Complete with treasure chests and shark hunters, it’s set deep in the ocean and has that suspenseful cinematic soundtrack that warns you of approaching danger. With winning lines paying from left to right and sharks attacking reels on any spin, anything can happen under the water. Will you succeed at opening the padlocked reels or run out of oxygen before you reach the sunken treasures? Our slot review below reveals more details.

Following Tyrant King Megaways, the first edition in the developer’s new predator series, Ocean Hunter drops the Megaways mechanic and offers a fresh set of bonus features. These include random wild multipliers and a bonus round with a quad-grid setup. As an additional feature, you can also use the Extra Bait Bet function and, where available, engage the bonus buy mechanism for instant access to free spins.
Shark wilds can substitute for all except bonus symbols. However, in the base game, they can only show during the random Wild Frenzy feature. When the frenzy feature triggers, the shark wilds will attack the reels replacing up to 4 symbols with wilds and maybe even multiply your current win 2x, 3x or 4x.
The radar scatters will take you deeper into the ocean and lead you right into the free spins bonus round if you can land 3 scatter icons on reels 1, 3 and 5.
Extra Bait Bet
When enabled, the Extra Bait Betfunction can increase your chances of hitting the Wild Frenzy feature, but beware that activating it will also increase your initial bet by 50%.
The free spins bonus round is where all the hunting happens. It starts with 15 free spins and has four 20-payline reel sets, 3 of which are locked at the beginning. To unlock the extra reels and maximise available paylines, you’ll want to look out for an oxygen tank symbol. Collecting 10 unlocks the 2nd reel set, another 10 will unlock the 3rd reel set and finally, landing another 10 tanks of exogen will unlock the 4th reel set. In addition, each new reel set unlocked awards an extra 2 free spins plus turns specific reels wild progressively until the end of the feature. Lastly, each scatter landed during the bonus round awards +3 extra spins to help you stay longer underwater.
When we checked, Ocean Hunter didn’t have a dedicated jackpot, and we’re sad to say that the max potential doesn’t quite match the fierce top predator theme either. The max reward is capped at 1,538x your stake, which is way less than the debut slot in the series.
The RTP here is identical to its sister slot and comes at a fixed rate of 95.99%, but the volatility has dropped from high to medium, making the game more suitable for both seasoned and casual players.
Explore the underwater world on your mobile phone or tablet. Thanks to its fully mobile-optimised setup, Ocean Hunter is fully compatible with all Android and iOS gadgets.
