Mayan Magic bonus features

You can’t have a Mayan-themed slot outside the jungle and indeed, this game is set against a backdrop of lush green plants and trees, and a roaring waterfall. By way of symbols, we can see some gorgeous themed motifs, lovingly rendered to look authentic but with a modern edge.

There are 5 gemstones, which occupy the low-value end of the paytable, as well as some local wildlife – a snake and a leopard. These are joined by three ornately dressed Mayan characters, the most valuable of which is the priestess with the gold headdress.

Landing three or more of these character symbols in combination will award the player up to 20 times their stake.

Wilds

The magic in Mayan Magic happens thanks to the Wild symbols. These are represented by chunky gold symbols with the word ‘Wild’ and the type inscribed on them.

We have the Mystery Wild, which is activated at random and on any spin in the base game. The symbol that lands on the middle row of the middle reel will be magically transformed into a Wild. Any other instances of that selected symbol will also be transformed into Wilds, wherever they are on the reels.

Next is the Mayan Wilds feature. This is activated when a Wild symbol lands on the three middle reels of the game i.e. reels 2 to 4. A respin will be awarded when this happens, right after a Sticky Wild is added to the middle row of the activating reel.

Each subsequent Wild will trigger a respin and landing multiple Wilds on one spin will add additional respins to the tally. A multiplier factor is applied to wins and every third Wild that lands will increase the multiplier by x1.
